Education reform leaders generally agree that starting new schools is easier and more effective than transforming failing schools. While the cost of starting new schools is high, the cost of doing nothing is higher. Successful models have significantly impacted student achievement, and The Colorado Commission for High School Improvement and the Denver Commission on Secondary School Reform  both called for a dramatic increase in school choice options. All Colorado kids deserve the chance to succeed. They need us to work on their behalf, right now, before another school year passes by.
