Get Smart Schools offers occasional informal workshops and discussions with leaders who can help you consider specific topics in new school creation.  We are also available for one-on-one consultation with individuals and groups who are in the early stages of this process.

I know that I want to start a school, but I need additional support to be an effective school leader.  How can Get Smart Schools help me?

You may be a candidate for the University of Denver's MBA in School Leadership Program. This is a unique concentration that pairs two of the University of Denver's Colleges, the Daniels College of Business and the Morgridge College of Education, with Get Smart Schools. This program will give you the leadership and management skills you need to be an effective school leader. You bring the vision, we give you the tools.

I have already been approved to open a school in the coming year.  How can Get Smart Schools help me?

We will be offering training and assistance to leaders opening new schools in 2010.  Similar to the Fellowship we launched for schools opening in 2009, we will be selecting a cohort of leaders who we believe have the skills and drive to create successful new schools serving diverse student populations.  We will then provide those leaders with in-depth training and professional development as well as opportunities to spend time in high-performing schools.  Information about the 2010 program will be available by June, 2009.  

I am a leader of a school that is considering adding a new campus or two.  How can Get Smart Schools help me?

We can provide leadership training and technical support to help with the creation of your new schools.  We can start with a one-on-one consultation to assess your needs and then develop a plan to assist you with your growth.  Contact us for more information.

Get Smart Schools can offer expanding networks of schools information about the Colorado marketplace and how best to launch your efforts here.  We know the needs and interests of the local school districts, we can help connect you with other local resources, and when you are ready to start your school, we can offer you the same assistance we offer to locally grown schools.
